About the film…
If you put the films of Mel Brooks, Ed Wood, and the humour of South Park into a blender you’d get VAMPIRE ZOMBIES… FROM SPACE! an over-the-top R-rated comedy which satirizes and pays homage to drive-in, creature-feature horror films of the 1950’s. It’s the latest film from award-winning writer-director Mike Stasko (The Birder, Boys vs. Girls) and award-winning comedy writers Jakob Skrzypa and Alex Forman (Fun Uncle, Funny or Die).
Vampire Zombies… from Space! features appearances by cult icons including legendary B-movie director, and president of TROMA entertainment Lloyd Kaufman, Tim & Eric’s David Liebe Hart, and star of The Gate 2 and SAW VI Simon Reynolds.
The film is slated for release in 2024.

Mike Stasko
Writer, Director, Producer
Mike is a film graduate of The University of Windsor, Sheridan College and Columbia University, and is currently a full-time film professor at The University of Windsor. His credits include Things To Do (2006), Iodine (2009), staring Ray Wise (Twin Peaks), The Birder (2014) featuring Fred Willard (Anchorman), and The Control (2018). Currently in a film festival run with his latest feature film Boys vs. Girls (2020), starring Colin Mochrie (Whose Line Is It Anyway?) and Kevin McDonald (The Kids In The Hall).
Jakob Skrzypa
Writer, Co-Producer, Editor
Jakob is an award-winning screenwriter who has written and directed over thirty shorts as part of the comedy duo Fun Uncle, these films have earned him various festival awards. Most recently, he’s worked as a segment producer on MTV’s The Challenge. Additionally he’s worked on other major television productions including Survivor, the Adult Swim series Decker, starring Tim Heidecker, Big Brother Canada, as an editor for NYC based Troma Entertainment (The Toxic Avenger) and the critically acclaimed Comedy Central series Nathan For You.
Alex Forman
Writer, Co-Producer
Alex is a communications graduate of the University of Windsor. He has been directing, writing, and editing films for local theatre companies, small businesses, and personal projects since elementary school. His work has been featured in various film festivals both local and foreign with many films receiving critical acclaim from audiences and adjudicators.
